A deep dive into the legendary studio staple of our time, famed for its smooth top end, rich mid-range, and tight low-end. The perfect cab for heavily distorted guitar tones. Using a carefully curated selection of microphones and speakers we distilled all these sounds into an intuitive design, allowing you to make immediate changes in color with the freedom to mix, combine and blend tones, creating your own unique palette of sounds.

We’re excited to unveil the third in our GGD Studio Cabs series: Goldstack. Goldstack is a collection of amazing-sounding historic and modern examples of the most revered cabinet and speaker combination in rock – the classic British 4×12 loaded with “green-backed” M-magnet speakers. Known for its articulate, resonant and engaging sound, this combination of cab and speaker can sound silky, raucous, vocal, or crushingly heavy depending on the era and recording methods used. Goldstack gives you access to museum-grade vintage pieces through to polished-sounding contemporary reproductions, so you can explore the sonic heritage for yourself.

In collaboration with Zilla cabs we created a tool aimed to solve one of these issues. Introducing GGD Studio Cabs: Zilla Edition. Extracting the best sounds from Zilla’s lineup of cabinets, using a carefully curated selection of microphones and speakers we distilled all these sounds into an intuitive design, allowing you to make immediate changes in colour with the freedom to mix, combine and blend tones, creating your own unique palette of sounds.

Rock-Box LYNCH IR

The Rock-Box LYNCH impulse response library captures and is seeking to recreate the sound of Celestion G12-50GL Lynchback speakers loaded in Rock-Box cabinets. Impulse response files are provided in Wave Audio Format (.wav), and have been minimum phase transformed using a proprietary algorithm. The Rock-Box cabinets are proprietary enclosures, designed and built in-house singularly for impulse response capture and towards multiple sound design goals: • to maximize fidelity and musicality for use in a broad range of styles and applications • to provide a tone that is both something familiar and something new • to exude a neutrality that allows the individuality of different speakers, guitars, pickups, amps, and playing nuances to shine through unencumbered. Various unique construction choices were implemented to accomplish this complex requirement set to outstanding result, providing a tone with clean low end, magical midrange, smooth high end, and incredible note clarity across the entire spectrum.
