Featuring five carefully captured kits, each handpicked for their unique tonal qualities, paired with Will Putney’s raw but still sonically immaculate production style, this EZX paints a unique document of hard-hitting, aggressive-sounding drums with a tangible edge, nerve and energy. In addition to the kits and the large assortment of cymbals, extra kicks and snares, the Modern Metal EZX also includes a comprehensive library of presets as well as a selection of MIDI grooves and fills designed for anything from heavy rock to death metal, hardcore and progressive metal. Liquid House is a collection of sounds sampled from some of the world’s finest analog drum machines intended for house producers and DJs. Each kit contains a dry and a distorted, compressed version of 8 sounds: two kicks, two snares, two hat sounds, a bass sound, and a lead sound. the dry sounds are prime to be manipulated and mangled for all kinds of house and other EDM productions, while the distorted sounds are ready for live use in the club, warehouse, or any late-night party. Using pairs of kits on each of Maschine’s groups this way allows producers to evenly fade – or suddenly cut – between dry and heavily distorted versions of the sounds.

Soon you’ll be able to receive and modulate CV between your modular or other CV-based gear and Ableton Live 10 using a compatible, DC-coupled audio interface. You’ll also be able to use Live as the tempo leader or set it to follow your modular system clock. Plus, even if you don’t own a modular setup, the Rotating Rhythm Generator and CV Utility devices can add modular-style workflow inside Live or to hardware setups that don’t use CV-based equipment. CV Tools is being developed by Ableton in collaboration with Skinnerbox.
