2445 is a reverb processor plug-in (VST, AAX and RTAS for Windows; AudioUnit, VST, AAX and RTAS for Mac OSX) inspired by two legendary early digital age reverberators: the EMT® 244 and the EMT® 245. SP thoroughly researched how to bring the specific features of those simple, yet very musical sounding reverbs to life as a plug-in. We then improved from the originals with a handy set of parameters to control details of the sound and mix the reverb not available in the original hardware. The 2445 is capable of processing using one selected engine or both of them simultaneously.

Polaris is an echo/reverb plugin inspired by early hardware digital reverbs of the late 1970s and able to provide echo, ambience and reverb out of a single multitap delay line. When hardware digital reverbs came out to the market they were really expensive. Most manufacturers were already exploiting chains of comb and allpass filters (smoother reverbs, but expensive in both resources and chips), there were other techniques involving the use of a single multitap delay line to create a reasonable reverb while keeping the cost affordable. That idea is so simple yet powerful: you mix a bunch of unmodulated taps (Early Reflections) with the remaining modulated taps (Diffusion) to create a cheap but convincing reverb.

A classic game console reverb effect, now in plugin format! SNESVerb is a super lightweight, streamlined, and easy-to-use way of adding 16-bit style faux reverb along with other lo-fi processing effects. We created this plugin because users of Super Audio Cart, which included a similar built-in effect, requested it. Rather than just leaving it as a simple delay, we also included some useful features such as a downsampler, pre-and post-processing filters, four stereo input modes, and a preset randomizer button. SNESVerb is a lightweight plugin designed to faithfully emulate the faux-reverb effect of the SNES home video game console. Many classic game soundtracks from this game system heavily utilized the reverb effect, which was actually a very short delay line, making for a truly signature sound that is looked on with warm nostalgia by millions.
